The World Youth Festival is the largest event for the youth of the whole planet, which will allow all concerned to exchange experience, knowledge and cultural traditions. By decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the festival will be held from March 1 to March 7, 2024 in Sochi, on the federal territory of Sirius.
The festival will bring together more than 20 thousand participants from different countries and more than five thousand volunteers, who will be trained by the Association of Volunteer Centers (ABC). The Corps of international ambassadors will play an important role in the process of establishing friendly contacts with representatives of other countries and represent Russia's interests in the international arena.
The program will consist of several blocks.
Content block
educational, discussion and scientific programs will be presented in various formats, such as talk shows, presentations, ted lectures, igropractics, screenings.
Cultural Block
this will include performances, screenings, concerts, theatrical productions, shows, exhibitions, fairs, excursions, and learning the Russian language.
Sports Block
demonstrations, sports shows, competitions, joint training and mass physical education events.
Exhibition Block
will demonstrate an exhibition of achievements of regions, corporations, universities.
Useful block
volunteer actions and projects.
Regional Block
a set of events in some regions of the Russian Federation, where some of the participants go after the main program of the festival.
Not only young people aged 18 to 35 will be able to take part in the WYF next year. For the first time in the history of the festival movement, teenagers from 14 to 17 years old will be able to apply — 500 children from Russia and 500 from other countries.
Acceptance of applications from volunteers for the WYF-2024 started on June 8 in Samara during the opening of the mural "Girl-Dobro" on the wall of the Volga State College. It is dedicated to the World Youth Festival and encourages all volunteers to participate.
